Officer and President
Frank
Caris has twenty years of international management experience in
the high-tech industry with a strong focus on turnarounds, interim-management,
divestitures and rapid expansion of new businesses. He was Business
Line Manager Healthcare at NXP Semiconductors, General Manager of
the Emerging Products Group at Philips Semiconductors, President
of KeyXperience, President & General Manager at Philips Voice
Control Systems, General Manager of smartconnect.com and a Vice-President
and GM at Lernout & Hauspie.
Frank,
a Dutch native, has an MBA from the Simon School, Rochester, New
York (MBA) and the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. He also graduated
from Leiden University with a ML in Business Law & Intellectual
Property. Frank is married and is the proud father of two daughters.
Jason
Lachance – Chief Financial
Officer
Richard
L. Weisfield, Ph.D. – Chief Technology Officer
and Senior Vice President of Engineering
Dr.
Richard Weisfield leads the Engineering team at dpiX. Richard has
a long and successful history working with amorphous silicon technology,
which includes over 20 years experience. He is the author of over
50 papers, including several invited papers on amorphous silicon
2D image sensor arrays and is also the holder of fourteen US patents.
Richard is also responsible for overseeing the design, reliability,
and test engineering areas.
Richard
holds a Ph.D. and MS in Applied Physics and a B.S. In Physics. Xerox
Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) was the start of Richard’s
career, where he was a member of the research staff and later an
area manager, responsible for developing an integrated amorphous
Silicon thin-film transistor/photodiode process for large area electronics
and device research associated with amorphous and poly silicon.

Terri
R. Pederson – Vice President of Quality
At
dpiX, all employees are responsible for quality assurance. As Vice
President of Quality, Terri Pederson is responsible for leading
the quality assurance effort in all areas of the company, overseeing
the product life cycle, and directing business systems that control
product and process quality. Under this umbrella, Terri is responsible
for Quality, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Execution and Automation
Systems, and Documentation Control.
Terri
has held various positions at dpiX, during which time she setup
and developed the Customer Support, Reliability Engineering and
Product Engineering functions, directed implementation of the Quality
Management and Environmental Management Systems, and led dpiX to
achieve ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 registrations. Terri holds a Bachelor's
degree, and has over 25 years of experience in high tech. Prior
to joining dpiX, Terri held several Engineering, Manufacturing and
OEM Business Development positions of increasing responsibility
in the Medical X-ray Equipment Manufacturing Industry.
Robert
M. Tolan – Vice President of Marketing and
Customer Relations
As
dpiXs Vice President, Marketing and Customer Relations, Bob
Tolan is responsible for directing the organizations marketing
and sales activities as well as its customer support activities.
Additionally, Bob is responsible for the management of materials
handling. Bob brings over 20 years of experience to dpiX from various
roles within technology companies.
Prior
to dpiX, Bob was Director of Manufacturing Operations for Savi Technologies,
a world leader in the RFID market. As Director, he managed all manufacturing
operations of the company. Prior to Savi, Inc. Bob was Operations
Director for LiveWorks, Inc., a Xerox New Enterprise Business unit
and manufacturer of large area electronic whiteboards. In this position
Bob managed all manufacturing and customer support activities. Bob
also served several years as a Business broker, in this role he
valued businesses and helped small business owners sell their firms.
Bob earned his B.S in Industrial Engineering and his Master of Business
Administration with a Marketing focus.
William
