World
Class Manufacturing and Test Capabilities
Our
Generation 2 (365mm x 460mm glass substrate size) Fab Manufacturing
services in Palo Alto, California, offers amorphous silicon sensor
process technology in an automated Class 10 fabrication environment.
To ensure high quality and high yields, we employ robotics, automated
handlers and automated testers throughout our clean room fab and
test facilities. Redundant processes and backup systems help ensure
manufacturing reliability and throughput.
The
same high quality manufacturing systems will be employed in our
new, state-of-the-art Generation 4 (730mm x 920mm glass substrate
size) manufacturing line now being installed in Colorado Springs,
Colorado. The larger glass size will provide higher capacity while
also allowing fabrication of larger area sensors for applications
requiring large form factors. The latest Generation 4 tool-set planned
for this facility will ensure reliable production of high quality
x-ray sensors with extremely uniform sensor performance.
dpiX proprietary amorphous silicon (a-Si) thin-film transistor (TFT)
technology, combined with advanced n-i-p photo detector technology,
is backed by over 85 patents. Our technology enables digital X-ray
detectors which produce film-like resolution with improved sensitivity
and uniformity without the time, film and chemicals required using
analog film methods. Our a-Si arrays are compatible with indirect
x-ray detection techniques using scintillating materials such as
cesium-iodide, as well as direct conversion techniques using direct
photoconductors such as amorphous selenium.
The
fabrication of the pixel-addressing matrix for a large-format a-Si
image sensor array is essentially the same as that used for the
active matrix liquid crystal display (AMLCD). Like an AMLCD, a matrix
of TFTs is used to address each pixel location.
dpiX
has been pioneering and developing advanced imaging products for
medical, NDT and security markets for over 15 years and we continually
work to improve quality, yield and capacity. We are dedicated to
researching, designing and manufacturing the world's highest quality
arrays.
