Layout Engineer

Position
Description:
The Layout Engineer is responsible for the design layout of all
dpiX products. The Layout Engineer manages all aspects of creating
new and improved layouts for dpiX products. This activity includes
gathering requirements from internal customers and carrying out
design reviews to gather approval. As part of the layout, the Layout
Engineer ensures consistent application of design rules and executing
design rule checks at completion. The Layout Engineer works closely
with reticle manufacturers to ensure the design information is accurately
transferred to the reticle set. The Layout Engineer is responsible
for ensuring ISO compliant procedures for the layout process.
Major
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate
all aspects of layout and design of new products. Prioritize projects
to meet design schedule.
- Gather
and integrate requirements from internal customers in order to
create layout according to design.
- Work
closely with internal groups to optimize new designs for manufacturability.
- Interface
with reticle suppliers to ensure new reticles meet requirements.
- Provide
ISO compliant documentation and systems for design introductions.
- Drive
continuous improvement of design processes and supporting systems.
- Maintain
certification and expertise in commercial layout package.
Qualifications
Desired:
This position requires a BS in an Engineering or other relevant
field and a minimum of three years of applicable experience. Applicant
must have experience and be proficient in a commercial layout software
package such as Cadence, Silvaco, or Ecad. The ideal candidate should
have exceptional communication skills and be able to obtain results
in a cross-functional setting.
